This hotel is very well situated in the Old Port. The staff are extremely friendly and professional. The Spa located at the hotel is also super convenient. The options and pricing are very reasonable. I have nothing negative to say of our various times that we've stayed at this hotel. Highly recommended!!

My cousins and I booked a last-minute stay at the Regency during a night out in Portland. Check-in was quick and seamless, and the front desk attendant was incredibly accommodating. Since we did not have overnight clothes with us, he kindly ensured we had bathrobes upon request and even provided toothbrushes and toothpaste without us having to ask, which was very much appreciated. Although we were only in the room for about eight hours, the bed was very comfortable and the room was dark and restful—exactly what we needed. I am writing to share some feedback regarding breakfast at the restaurant. Two of us ordered the eggs Benedict, and unfortunately, it was the worst eggs Benedict either of us has had. The hollandaise sauce lacked any flavor, and the eggs were overcooked with no runny yolk. We tried adding salt and pepper, but it did not help. While we could have sent it back, we were very hungry and chose not to. In hindsight, we probably should have, especially given the cost of the meal. Another cousin ordered a pancake, which she also did not enjoy. I want to be clear that this is not meant to disparage the restaurant. The service was wonderful, and everyone we interacted with was welcoming and accommodating. The breakfast itself, however, was simply not enjoyable. It tasted as though it may have been pre-packaged or previously frozen. In particular, the hollandaise sauce could use significant improvement. I appreciate the opportunity to share this feedback, as everything else about our stay was very positive. I almost forgot, the Armory was wonderful and staff and drinks amazing!

The hotel was wonderful. We came for our babymoon. They make you feel special and the building is elegant. The mediocre part was the spa. The price for the amenities and services are too high. This was the most expensive massage we have ever booked so we had high expectations, and we’re somewhat disappointed. The facilities/amenities were okay; very minimal. We were offered bottled water, not the usual spa day drinks. The massage was nice, but we have had better. For the price, we expected way more- since we have had much better, more luxurious experiences for lower cost. Although we will find another spa for our next visit, we did love the hotel and would definitely stay again!

We’ve been staying here several times a year for almost six years now, and it never disappoints. The location, charm, and overall ambiance are unbeatable. Valet parking is a huge plus, and the complimentary shuttle service makes getting around Old Port and nearby spots super convenient, no need for Ubers or driving yourself. We were back this October to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and Isaac at the front desk went above and beyond to make our stay special. We honestly won’t stay anywhere else in Portland. This place is always a favorite and definitely worth checking out.

One of the most beautiful hotels you will ever stay at. Perfectly located in downtown Portland. The bar is cozy and has a great atmosphere. I only stay here when I visit Portland. This hotel has the same vibe/feeling as downtown Portland. There isn't a better place to stay.

We stayed at the hotel for the weekend and overall had a wonderful experience. We truly enjoyed our time in the spa area. The steam sauna was absolutely amazing, especially with the option to use essential oils it made the experience very relaxing and special. There was also a jacuzzi and traditional saunas available. We didn’t end up using the jacuzzi much, as the water felt a bit too cool for our taste and wasn’t as enjoyable as we expected. The bathroom products provided by the hotel were of very high quality, which we really appreciated, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The service throughout the hotel was excellent, and the valet parking staff were very helpful and professional. The only downside during our stay was the sound insulation. In the evening, when some guests were having fun in nearby rooms, it felt as if we were part of their gathering. The noise carried very easily through the walls, and whenever our neighbors closed their doors it sounded as if our own door was being slammed. Another small detail that surprised us was the polyester bed cover. Everything else in the room felt high-quality and cotton-based, so it was a bit unexpected to see polyester used for the bed cover. Aside from these minor issues, everything else was truly at a very high level, and we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you for a lovely weekend.

My husband and I got married this past weekend and chose the Regency mainly because it was across the street from our reception space. It was an amazing experience. We kept Andrew and Muhammed from the valet team busy helping us unload and reload luggage and wedding stuff from our tiny hatchback but they made it seem so easy. Without their help it would have been way more difficult. We also had our rehearsal dinner at the Armory Lounge which was excellent. I highly recommend the brussels sprout and squash salad. We booked the Regency Suite. The jacuzzi tub and waterfall shower were just what we needed to relax after a long day of wedding prep. Overall, just phenomenal.

Excellent service. Andrew was a great Valet employee, kind, honest and helpful. Room was nice only issue was the toilet in our room 208 took along time to fill up so the noise was slightly annoying. Other then that really great place and would absolutely stay again. FYI read the history on the website of the building.
